Multimodal Looper / MSc Thesis
2023

Multimodal looper is designed as an interactive tool connecting body movements to audiovisual forms for an embodied experience of musical improvisation. Aimed for collaboration akin to a jam circle, it is based on intuitive correlations that bind body movements to sounds and visual properties.

Inspired by Pierre Schaeffer’s sonic objects, the idea is looping multimodal objects: sounds that are activated through different movements and represented visually within a looping circle.
