Interactive Visualizations for the Fulldome

Designed generative visuals for the fulldome and developed an interactive system that detects movement through blob tracking in Touchdesigner, tested and showcased at the Tycho Brahe Planetarium, Copenhagen.

The interactive system featured an engaging element: a dynamic “earth-ball” designed to unite participants and encourage interaction. Utilizing the curved screen, the ball created a realistic depth illusion as it appeared to approach the viewer. The space was divided into three sections, with the ball programmed to move fluidly along all axes at the front of the screen, reacting to motion with varying jumps and directions based on the detected movement.
